UN-SPOKEN
UN-spoken is a full-length, movement-driven performance that investigates the often-invisible scars left by bullying. Rooted in contemporary dance and layered with elements of personal narrative, the piece transforms lived experience into embodied storytelling — turning silence, shame, and survival into raw, kinetic expression. With powerful physicality, abstract imagery, and emotionally charged choreography, UN-spoken creates a visceral language for what is too often left unsaid.
More than a dance work, UN-spoken is a social intervention — a deeply personal yet universally resonant exploration of identity, resilience, and the human need to belong. It confronts the ripple effects of bullying across time and space, from childhood into adulthood, revealing how exclusion and cruelty shape our self-perception and our ability to connect with others.
By bringing UN-spoken to college campuses and community spaces, the project seeks not only to provoke thought, but to ignite meaningful dialogue. These are environments where peer dynamics, mental health, and identity formation are in flux — making them fertile ground for impact. Through post-show discussions, workshops, or facilitated reflection, the work encourages audiences to reckon with difficult truths, foster empathy, and consider how small actions — or inactions — can leave lasting marks.
Why This Project Matters
In a world where emotional wounds are often minimized or dismissed, UN-spoken offers a space to witness, to feel, and to heal. It is both an artistic offering and a call to action: to listen more closely, to speak more kindly, and to see one another more fully.
